The Company’s First Solid-State Hydrogen Storage Reactor Is Poised to Commence Demonstration Operations

Recently, Sichuan Kexin Electromechanical Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Company’ or ‘Kexin Electromechanical’) in collaboration with Jiangsu Jicui Antai Chuangming Advanced Energy Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ‘Antai Chuangming’) has completed the on-site installation and system commissioning of a solid-state hydrogen storage device, which is poised to commence demonstration operations.

This system not only possesses the fundamental characteristics of solid-state hydrogen storage – high safety and high density – but also offers advantages such as hydrogen evolution at ambient temperatures and rapid charging/discharging. Notably, it demonstrates outstanding energy consumption metrics, positioning it as one of the most commercially viable storage and transportation methods. It is foreseeable that this highly secure solid-state hydrogen storage will play a pivotal role in both small-scale and large-scale hydrogen storage, providing robust support for the application of energy storage and hydrogen fuel cells in practical production and daily life.

All critical system components are domestically produced with proprietary intellectual property rights. The solid-state alloy hydrogen storage reactor, one of the core devices, represents the company's inaugural such reactor. Employing advanced design principles, it comprehensively addresses lower reaction chamber hydrogen damping and heat exchange damping, enhanced heat transfer performance, lightweight construction, and modularity. This unique design achieves outstanding specifications, establishing the technical capability to meet solid-state hydrogen storage equipment requirements across diverse application scenarios.
